• Introduction to Engineering Design™ (IED) focuses on exposing students to the design process, engineering standards, research and analysis, technical documentation, global and human impacts, communication methods, and teamwork.
• Students use a state of the art 3D solid modeling design software package to help them design solutions to solve proposed problems.
• Work in teams to research, design, and construct a solution to an open-ended engineering problem of your choice. The product development lifecycle and a design process will be used to guide and help your team reach a solution to the problem.

• At the end of the program, students will be equipped for entry level jobs in the automotive repair industry or they can further their education by attending a college that specializes in automotive technology degrees.
• Students will develop a solid foundation in electrical/electronic systems and a general understanding of all automobile systems taught according to ASE guidelines.
• Activities will include written and hands on operations in both the classroom and a fully equipped shop.
• Will study engine repair and diagnostics, electrical systems, drivetrain, air conditioning, and many subsystems found on late-model vehicles.
