College Now Scheduling Procedures
- College Now classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible OHS students.
- Enrollment for Spring 2022 classes began in October. See you counselor for questions.
- See OHS Counseling Office for the required forms.
- Eligibility requirements:
- OHS junior or senior
- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
- Not have previously failed an OTC class
- Eligible students may take two OTC classes per semester from the approved list.

Testing Information
ACT

Exam will be given this year, see information listed below:
WHO: Any interested 10th-12th grade student
WHEN: March 27, beginning at 8 am
WHERE: HS Cafeteria WHAT DOES THIS EXAM PROVIDE:
This examination is needed for students who are interested in pursuing the armed services/military as an option. Students who are trying to also find out more about their skill base might be interested in taking this exam as an "exploratory" option.
***Students also have the option to work their given recruiter about the possibility of taking this exam with their given branch. Typically, the ASVAB exam is can be taken on Wednesday nights in the Springfield area. Please contact your recruiter for more information and intricate details regarding this option.
SAT
To register for the SAT Test, please visit sat.collegeboard.org .
Who?
College-bound juniors and seniors interested in certain four-year colleges and universities may want to take the SAT in addition to the ACT.
What?
The SAT is a college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge. It tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math.
When?
The SAT is given seven times a year: October, November, December, March, May, and June. Registration deadlines are approximately one month before the test date.
Where?
The SAT is given at schools nationwide. An OHS student may register to take the test at any testing site. While OHS is a not a testing center for the SAT this year, Missouri State University is a nearby testing center.
Why?
The SAT test is accepted at many four-year colleges and universities, and is required by some. Please check specific college websites for admission requirements.
